Is there anyone here using Claude Code CLI who feels like… a goldfish? 😤
Sitting coding enthusiastically, AI suggests things smoothly. But as soon as you close the terminal, open a new tab, or come back the next day, it's all over.
You have to start reminding yourself from scratch: what the project is about, which step you're on, how far you've written the tests.
It wastes both tokens and time, and it can easily derail your original line of thought.
Frustrated, I decided last weekend to write a wrapper for Claude Code, named AIKit.
Not to add more context, but to maintain the flow of work.
AIKit does two main things:
Persistent Sessions – It saves the current working state. You can turn off your machine to sleep, and when you open the terminal the next day, you continue right where you left off yesterday, without having to set everything up again.
Skills & Workflows – Instead of having to type “please analyze,” “please write test,” “please refactor”… I package everything into a skill.
With just one command /implement, AI runs through the TDD flow: read the requirements → write tests → code → complete
Since it’s a “homegrown” project, I’m open-sourcing it for fellow developers to try out.
The initial version definitely has some bugs, so I would love to receive feedback for gradual improvement.
If you find it useful, please give me a ⭐ on GitHub to keep me motivated to continue working on it.
