I would like to share a side project that I just finished deploying: Arivo - a tool for event check-in using QR Code, running in the browser without the need to install an app.

Why did I make this?

A few weeks ago, the company hosted an event for 150 people. Check-in was done using Excel + 2 staff members manually searching for names. There were long lines, it was chaotic, and it took 30 minutes just to let people in. I thought: this should be solvable with technology, so I just built it.

Simple flow:

1. Upload an Excel file with the guest list, the system automatically generates a QR for each person

2. Send an email with the QR to all the guests

3. On the event day: open your phone, scan the QR and check-in in 3 seconds

No special equipment needed. No app installation required.

Current situation: The app is running at arivo.vn. I really need everyone with upcoming events to use it and give honest feedback because the UI is still rough, the features are limited, and I’m sure there are many bugs, so please critique and give advice.
